In this post I want to discuss the issue of legalizing marijuana. I have spent a lot of time on YouTube watching news clips, and debates. Not only are a vast majority of people in favor of legalizing pot, but I have yet to hear a logical argument against it.
One argument that was on my mind was, where does it stop? If we legalize Marijuana, are Mushrooms, Crank, Coke, and Heroine next? Well that too was answered for me. How many people have lost their lives because of Marijuana? The Answer from those against legalizing pot have said, none. That in itself makes a valuable argument that it stops with pot.
Next there was the argument that crime would increase. This is where I said What! Are you serious? Many people use pot to prevent themselves from creating violent crimes. It relaxes people who are naturally violent and irritable, and it also brings people together peacefully. Not to mention the fact that less people will be arrested for Marijuana, because Marijuana will be legal.
It was also said that drug use would increase. Wrong! I am a perfect example. Instead of taking highly addictive Hydrocodone, A lot of Tylenol, and antidepressants I could smoke pot. It may help me quit smoking, and possibly stay away from alcohol. The reason I say it may possibly, is because that is what I turn to because of stress. Now add all the side effects together of every legal thing I take vs. Marijuana. Which is safer, healthier, and less being only one thing?
I may be wrong, But I really think that good things would come from the legalization of Marijuana. I am not A "Pot Head" I do not use Marijuana for recreational use. I have a Family. I cannot afford to jeopardize my role as a father by being placed in jail for drug charges. I am just an average law abiding American. I am for legalization.

Great Business Opportunity!
I don't have the money or the right know how to start my own business. So I am offering it to you. Keep in mind that I may keep throwing out ideas, so make sure to read my blogs often.
Here is the idea. You know how everyone is talking about "Going Green"? Well, it just so happens that going green often times pays for itself. Now imagine A website, shop, or both, where every product in stock will eventually pay for itself. You simply tell your customers that the money they spend on any product you offer they will get back, and often times save money afterwards in addition to helping the environment.
Now there may be other non-green products that can pay for themselves as well which can be added.
You will have a business where people can feel like they are not losing any money, may save money, and may help the environment. I see this idea being a great success. Many people can do this, and probably already are. If you use this idea, let me know how it works out for you.

Parents, in my opinion......
(Now I say opinion because everything I state may or may not be proven facts)
-Children need consistency.
Two parents should never disagree in front of their children. Rules enforced once should always be enforced or not at all.
-A child's "happiness" is not a main priority.
What is a priority is their health, well being, and how well they are prepared to face the challenges that lie ahead. "Happiness" is not a necessity for survival. Therefore it takes a "back burner" to what is.
-All falls second to the children.
You should never as a parent put your wants or needs before the needs of the child. You should also, never put a child's wants above their own needs either.
-Children need discipline as much as they need praise.
A lot of parents either do not acknowledge a child's accomplishments enough or do not provide enough discipline for wrong doings. Children require a balance not one extreme or the other.
-Love
Is one word to describe what it takes to be a parent. Sometimes you must be tough and let go or do nothing. Other times you must do all you can to make sure that you are there and hold them tight.
-Be a parent!
Never neglect your children by letting the schools, video games, and their friends, guide and teach them all that they know. Every parent is their child's guide through life. You must lead them in the right direction unless they be mislead.
Life is tough and it is full of challenges that we all know all too well of. We cannot rely on the teachings of our parents to show us how to be the best parents we can be. Each of us are individuals, and so are our children. Therefore each child, with each parent, with each different situation, requires a different action. We are responsible for teaching and guiding our children to one day become adults. It is our job to prepare them for the day when they will be on their own. If we don't teach them, or let them learn, they will fail and it is us, the parents, who shall be responsible for our mistakes. We are molding our future, let's make it one we can be proud of.
There has definitely got to be more but I didn't plan this out just venting. But I see it all the time. To me it seems so simple, but I fight so much with other parents about important issues. I am not saying that I am perfect, but I know that I do a great job and I strive to be the best I can be. I will gladly debate these issues with any parent, any time. I hope that this will help. Abuse
Once again men everywhere are given a bad rep. Sure there are men who are abusive, this has been proven. But, "MEN" are not abusive! People, both men and women alike have been guilty of abuse. To this day when people think of abuse they think of a violent man. This has to change. Women who are abused shouldn't stand behind abused women. They need to stand behind victims everywhere by sending a message to people that abuse is wrong and that nobody should put up with it. Far too often men go without reporting their abuse. It is because of this, "The Facts" (Based on statistics) are false. I hope that people one day will begin to understand that each person is an individual, therefore people cannot be placed into categories such as gender, race, or class. A woman is just as capable of abusing a man as a man is abusing a woman. A man is just as capable of being abused as a woman is. Abuse is wrong regardless.
As a male victim of abuse, I feel it is my responsibility to speak on behalf of men. Men, when abused suffer much more because nobody seems to care. Men are more likely to take the fall even though they were in fact the victims.Often men are ashamed to admit even to themselves, that they are being abused. Men believe they can defend themselves, which often leads to them being arrested.
